The Pain Point:
When jumping between different layers to adjust local layout values (like unique padding, gap, or radius settings), changing your canvas selection automatically resets the right properties panel back to the top. This causes a repetitive cycle of scrolling down to find the exact same property section over and over again.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce a modifier shortcut key that allows users to switch selections while locking the property panel’s current scroll position and section focus. If I am editing "Gap" on Layer A, holding the shortcut and clicking Layer B should keep the panel scrolled directly to the "Gap" setting.
Why existing workarounds don't fit:
Using Shared Styles or Components doesn't solve this, as these are often quick, unique, and local layout tweaks across distinct elements where global styles shouldn't be applied. This shortcut would be a massive workflow win for micro-tweaking layouts.
