Right now, when selecting an element, Framer defaults to the "Agent" tab instead of "Style." As a designer, the Style/edit panel is what I need far more often during a typical workflow, tweaking layout, spacing, colors, etc. Having to manually switch tabs every time I select a new element adds unnecessary friction.
I understand Framer may be leaning more AI-first these days, but for those of us doing hands-on visual design, this default gets in the way more than it helps.
At the very least, please add an option to choose which tab (Agent or Style) opens by default when selecting an element. That would let each user's workflow decide, rather than forcing one default on everyone.
(Side note: I've noticed that sometimes clicking an element does jump straight to Style, but that seems inconsistent, more like a side effect than an actual setting I can rely on.)
